The Committee on Culture and Spirituality recommends the Parliament to pass the Resolution on Celebration of the 170th Anniversary of Mykola Lysenko

In March 2012, Ukraine will celebrate the 170th anniversary of Mykola Lysenko (1842-1912) prominent Ukrainian composer, band-master, pedagogue, public figure and founder of Ukrainian national classical music.

Under the draft resolution (Reg. No. 8759), several organizational-legal measures should be taken to celebrate the anniversary on the state level.

The committee recommends the State Committee for television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine to provide media coverage of the celebration.
